We have refined a simple and effective process to continually maintain the exceptional level of service we provide from our initial meetings right through to on-going portfolio management and unbiased, independent pension advice. This process allows us to ensure you are fully provided for across all of your protection and investment needs while involving you fully in the process to ensure that what matters most to you is prioritised and dealt with to put your mind at ease.
Firstly we arrange an initial meeting to allow us to introduce ourselves, the services we offer and tell you about who Beaumont are and what we believe in. We also need to know all about you to allow us to gather the information required to create a full financial recommendation. We do this through a process called ‘fact finding’. The fact find covers basic personal and family details before moving on to employment details and financial matters. We finish this process through covering any financial planning you already have in place and your future financial objectives. This section allows us to really get to know what you hope to achieve and allows us to ensure that we target the areas that will deliver the outcomes most in tune with these aspirations.
The completed fact find will allow for the identification of your demands, needs and future aspirations. The process of discussing, quantifying and prioritising these is then carried out with your full involvement. This is an important part of the process as we realise that everyone is an individual and every financial situation is different so no one product or recommendation suits all. We ensure we get to know you ensuring any specific areas and needs that you wish to be dealt with can be done so in the most effective priority order.
The next step is to evaluate your attitude to risk. At Beaumont we realise that providing an investment that maximises the potential return while being at a level of risk which is appropriate to you is paramount to the process. We will never recommend a product we do not believe matches your individual risk profile as we always ensure you are happy with the investments that are made, whether this is from a risk or ethical stand point. To do this we assist you in completing a risk questionnaire while ensuring that the responses to the risk related questions are fully understood, we also look at the bigger picture of previous investments and existing reserves to establish this individual risk profile. This is the profile we use to match you to the correct funds in the market. There is no ‘one size fits all’ investment and with the huge number of funds available with differing risk profiles it is important that an independent financial advisor is on hand to assist with these choices.
We then progress to our second meeting. During this meeting we will provide our full recommendation that has been individually tailored to meet your needs. This will involve all aspects of the planning and implementation process as well as answering any questions you may have. We explain the key features of every product we recommend and provide all documentation available to fully consider the benefits and any disadvantages arising from the recommendation, products and providers. After ensuring any questions have been answered fully we have two options. We either proceed with the recommendations and fill in any relevant paperwork or we leave all the information with you to provide more time to think over the recommendations we have provided. This decision is completely down to you. There is no pushy sales technique or high pressure tactics, you will always receive all the time you require to make your decision and we will be available at all times to assist with the process in any way we can.
If a third meeting is required we will provide clarification on any areas that you wish us to, detailing and explaining the whole recommendation again if required, while assisting with the filling in of any application forms if you are happy to proceed.
Throughout the process we are always available and contactable to answer any questions and queries to put your mind at rest. This continues throughout the whole relationship whether you are a new client or have been with us 15 years!
