Doubling Our Donation for Macmillian Cancer Support

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer.

Yesterday, Henrietta our Accounts Manager, held our very own coffee morning here in Oswestry, and with the help of local business people and our community, were able to raise an incredible £200.
As recognition of this fantastic collective effort, Mark will be matching the donations pound for pound.
One in three of us will get cancer, and it will be one of the toughest things we’ll ever have to face. Macmillan’s goal is to make sure no one faces cancer alone. They provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care. And because cancer affects more than just those facing it, they offer support for friends and family too.
The first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £138 million for Macmillan.
